On February 1st 2005 we opened our doors to the public as a specialized wellness service provider. Our goal was to fill an unmet need; providing wellness services including a gymnasium with instructors, a nurse, a dietician and a massage therapist and a physiotherapist to offer services to PREGNANT & POST DELIVERY WOMEN. We were called Moms Health Club and this name remained for several years even after we expanded our scope. Over the years our goal of offering preventive and holistic medicine expanded into adding males to our clientele when all gyms in our locality closed down. We continued to be innovative looking for answers for challenges in health and wellness faced by corporate Ghana. In 2006 we set up our first onsite healthcare clinic, which in addition offered occupational health services. Realising that many corporate bodies paid for offsite gym membership for staff that majority did not use, we translated our expertise in wellness to set up and manage onsite wellness centres, which could be full-scale, basic or anything in between. Then the issue of medical examinations for staff of companies came up. This could waste precious time away from work and we went a step further to start onsite medical examinations and different types of health education and training. Sixteen years after we first opened our doors to the world and now known HEALTH ESSENTIALS we are currently in four regions in Ghana and we reach many others through our social media platforms, newpapers, magazines, radio programmes and many more.
